Oh man, my first time working with Epoxy this is exactly what I did. 80oz of Table Top resin inside a 22" wide, half inch deep mold. I'm in Texas so my garage is around 90 degrees this time of year. About 30 minutes after the pour it starts smoking and rising like a forbidden pancake. I didn't know it can start a fire, though.

What about the smells of the epoxy.i don't see any mask.

I would like to learn (get a class)how do it.

You could add the height and width of your edges and get a more accurate calculation. Probably 3-4” to your length and width. About 2.8 sq. ft. Assuming a 1.75 “ edge.

My question is where do you get that wood from?

The only difference is that I want to paint my table white with gold streaks somehow prior to pouring the epoxy

If you’re only pouring to cover the exterior… why calculate the volume? I know it’s going to be a bit more due to absorption but I’d like to know why not calculate the area?

I am new at epoxy resin pours. I poured a cresent moon mold to make a night light for my granddaughter. I noticed a couple of round indentations after it dried. It was level when I poured and it had 70 degrees for about 36 hours to set. It was approximately 2 inches thick. Your video helped me to realize that for that depth, I need to be using "deep pour" epoxy. This was very helpful. Thank you very much. I'm looking forward to trying it with deep pour and looking forward to seeing the outcome. I hope all the best for you in all your pours. I'm having a blast! God bless.

instead of finger brush can be used? And how to repair a damaged epoxy table? can this be locally repaired or should be fully stripped? Or after a year of resin can be more resin added?
